Clé USB-C SanDisk Extreme PRO – Jusqu'à 1000 Mo/s en lecture, 900 Mo/s en écriture

There's a lot to like about this flash drive - it's got USB-C, which can connect to almost everything. There's no cap or cover to lose because the connector slides out when needed, with a simple push of your finger. It's about the same dimensions as similar USB sticks, and it's compact enough to put in a large wallet, or just about any other kind of bag.

It is FAST. Oh boy, this is not the old-fashioned USB sticks that went at a snail's pace. If your workload involves copying any sort of large amount of data, this can give you an easy way to transfer it compared to networking or burning to disc. On the other hand, because it's so fast, it does get quite warm in use - not too much to be burning, but definitely warm to the touch.

And this is a brand-name USB drive, so you know that if it suffers from a failure, you'll get the support you'll need. But, ideally, it should never fail at all.

The main reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5, is that it's just a little too wide and will block out nearby USB-C ports. If you're on a laptop, this shouldn't be much of a problem, as you can usually hot swap cables, or use a port on the opposite side. On a desktop though, you don't have as much flexibility. I needed to copy files between two drives, and in the photo, you can see how difficult that was with the only two USB-C ports on my computer. If this is something you might do, have an extension cable on hand just in case!

Meet my need and expectations

The thumb drive is extremely convenient and impressively fast. While it is a bit pricey, the market for high-speed models hasn’t shown much of a decline yet, so the cost feels reasonable for the performance it delivers.

Solid flash drive. Love the retractable connector. Good weight. Fast. Feels durable.

It's a fantastic product and the flash drive works perfectly. It's excellent in every sense of the word.
