Too slow!
Too slow!
Unit arrived scoffed up, even though it's brand new and in its sealed package. Not a big problem, just an annoyance.
People wrongly think that USB 3.2 is faster than USB 3.1, but THAT IS NOT **ALWAYS** THE CASE!
USB 3.2 Gen 1 = USB 3.1 Gen 1 = USB 3.0 = transfers up to 5 Gbps = 625 MB/s
USB 3.2 Gen 2 = USB 3.1 Gen 2 = transfers up to 10 Gbps = 1250 MB/s
USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 = transfers up to 20 Gbps = 2500 MB/s
This is a USB 3.2 Gen 1 = USB 3.1 Gen 1 = USB 3.0 device
They are THE SAME SPEC of the USB Standard and have a max transfer rate of 5 Gpbs = 625 MB/s
Advertised 400MB/s rating is for READ speeds only.
Ran the Disk Speed Test with 5Gb of data and captured the 3rd round of it - because the first round is often too fast and those speeds cannot be sustained for larger transfers.
256Gb drive test:
Write speeds = 114 MB/s
Read speeds = 383 MB/s
Read speeds come close to the advertised read speeds, which are TWICE as fast as other cheap thumb-drives.
Write speeds are better than the competition, but by not much. Other cheaper brands transfer at 70-90 Mb/s.
128Gb drive test:
Write speeds = 76 MB/s
Read speeds = 384 MB/s
128Gb drive has slower write speeds than the 256Gb drive, but the same read speeds.

One of the best buys I have ever done. Works so well. Bought it 6 years ago and still happy with it
